Nakodar, Apr 25 (Agency) The Mehat Pur police have booked five persons on the charge of stealing household goods at a village in Ludhiana. The investigating officer (IO) Sanjiv Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Kala, Kuldip Singh, Baljit Singh, Pritam Singh, and Jugraj Singh residents of Madhepura village under Shidhaman Bet police station Ludhiana.
Hardip Singh, a resident of Beetalan village complained to the police that the accused stole his mobile and other goods from many houses of the village. The investigating officer said that a case under section 457 (lurking house-trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
