Pathnamthitta, May 12 (Agency) Financial fraud to the tune of Rs 8.13 crore was unearthed at a Canara Bank branch here on Wednesday and an employee, suspected for his involvement in the fraud, went missing with his family. Five employees, including the bank branch manager, were suspended following the incident, police sources said.
The fraud which took place over a span of 14 months, came to light during the audit. An investigation was initiated after the manager discovered a fraud of Rs 10 lakh in the accounts. The car of the missing employee was spotted at Kaloor here a few days back, the sources said.
