Dharamshala, Apr 15 (Agency) Kangra police on Thursday arrested a person and recovered 41.39 grams of heroin from his possession. The arrest was made at the by pass road falling under the Kangra police station in this district during routine police patrolling. The accused is a resident of Bhatoo Samela Palampur of this district. Cases under different sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act have been registered against him, said the police.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kangra district Vimukut Ranjan told UNI that the person h as been identified as Abilash Rana, a resident of Bhatoo Samela, Palampur of Kangra district and was caught by a Police team during routine patrolling at Kangra bypass falling under Kangra police station and during search recovered 41.39 grams of Heroin from his possession. SSP Ranjan said that police registered a case against the accused Abilash under sections 21 – 61-85 of NDPS Act and the investigation is in progress.
