Mumbai, Mar 26 (FN Agency) The BSE Sensex on Friday smartly recovered by 319 pts to 48,759.67 following gains in Bankex, Oil and Gas, Technology stocks. The Nifty too declined by 135.45 pts to 14,460.35. The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 49,044.44 and 48,699.91 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra-day high and low at 14,507.35 and 14,414.25 respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.99 PC and Small Cap by 0.70 pc. In 30 scrips 28advanced while 5 declined. The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 3.40 pc to Rs 9367.55, Bajaj Auto by 2.33 pc to Rs 3583.50, Asian Paints by 2 pc to Rs 2449.80 and Hind Unilever by 1.94 pc to Rs 2281.15.
The losers were Powergrid by 1.80 pc to Rs 212.80, ONGC by 0.69 pc to Rs 101.25, Reliance Industries by 0.54 pc to Rs 1982 and Dr Reddy by 0.34 pc to Rs 4368.45.
