Mumbai, Nov 24 (Agency) Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted raids at Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik’s residence and office in Thane. Earlier, Sarnaik had mooted breach of privilege motion against Republic TV Chief Editor Arnab Goswami. He had also demanded action against Arnab in Anvay Naik suicide case. The ED team also searched the premises linked to his son Purvesh and Vihang. Their offices are also searched by ED in Thane. Mr Sarnaik, 56, is a three-time MLA from Ovala-Majiwada constituency in Thane.
He is one of the vocal MLA of Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut attacked the Centre for “using raids as a political weapon against the Opponents”. “We all know that the ED and CBI are being misused. They are puppets in the hands of the Centre. But, we will not bow down before anybody,” he said.
