Shifting of projects like refinery, not in interest of state & Kokan areas-Raj Thackeray

Kolhapur/Ratnagiri, Dec 5 (FN Agency) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has expressed his opinion that it was not in the interest of the state as well as Kokan that such big projects like refinery project goes outside considering current situation. At a press conference in Ratnagiri Sunday evening , Mr Thackeray cleared on his changing stand that earlier he had firmed that like refinery project should not come in Kokan areas but considering present situation of the state following various important projects were moving outside of the state, big projects like refinery, should not go outside of the state as it was not in the interest of the state as well as of the Kokan areas. Mr Thackeray said after announcement of refinery project in Kokan, the people here sold their lands but when they came to know that these people did not think why these outsiders taking lands and now there was no use as lands was out of hands.

He suggested to local Kokan people to consider for ten times while giving such lands in future. On yet another controversial remark of Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) MLA Prasad Lad, who said Sunday while inaugurating Kokan Mahostav, that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born in Kokan, Mr Thackeray said such people are only creating new feud on Shivaji Maharaj without learning anything from Shivaji Maharaj and not taking inspiration from him. Those people who not aware of the history of Shivaji Maharaj are talking on this subject now to cover their failure.
