BJP aims for 370 & 400 seats in alliance with NDA in LS polls, asserts K Reddy

Hyderabad, Mar 29 (Representative) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy stated that the BJP is determined to achieve 370 and 400 seats in partnership with the NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, expressing confidence in meeting this target. Addressing an election meeting held at Tarnaka in the city on Friday, Reddy emphasised the significance of the upcoming Telangana Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 13. He highlighted the extensive campaign efforts underway across the country in preparation for the MP elections. Reddy noted that the fourth phase of the Telangana elections will take place on May 13, with results expected on June 4. He mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s active involvement in five election campaign meetings, alongside candidates touring their respective constituencies.

Encouraging voter turnout, Reddy stressed the importance of exercising the right to vote, particularly noting the historically low turnout percentage in Hyderabad city, urging citizens to participate actively in polling. He appealed to voters to consider the country’s development while casting their votes, underscoring the transformative reforms initiated by the Modi government, including ensuring corruption-free governance, strengthening law and order, bolstering national security, and fostering major infrastructure development. Reddy credited the Modi government with implementing measures to combat communal violence and terrorism, enhancing national prestige, and spearheading significant reforms such as the reservation of 33 percent for women and the abolition of the triple talaq law for Muslim women.

Highlighting achievements in vaccine distribution during the global COVID-19 pandemic, Reddy praised the Modi government’s handling of the crisis and emphasized the need for voters to reflect on the progress made under Modi’s leadership. Touching upon international relations, Reddy noted India’s strengthened position on the global stage, attributing it to Modi’s leadership. He praised Modi’s proactive approach in international affairs, citing instances such as India’s successful evacuation of citizens from conflict zones like Ukraine during the Russia-Ukraine war. Reddy expressed optimism about India’s growing stature under Modi’s leadership and reiterated the BJP’s commitment to achieving significant electoral success in partnership with the NDA.
