Vijayawada, May 9 (FN Bureau) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, flanked by Telugu Desam Party Chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Chief K Pawan Kalyan, participated in a road show here on Wednesday.Narendra Modi, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan stood on a flower-bedecked vehicle during the roadshow, which began at the IGM Stadium and concluded at Benz Circle.Narendra Modi’s road show received an overwhelming response from people, and a large number of people stood on either side of the one-and-a-half-kilometre MG road, wishing the Prime Minister.
Large number of farmers of Amaravati, who had parted with their lands for the construction of the capital city, stood at Benz Circle. The roadshow started at around 7 p.m. amidst elaborate security arrangements while a group of women in saffron attire holding placards with Modi’s images marched ahead of the convoy. This is the first time the Prime Minister has participated in a roadshow in the city.
