Bhubaneswar, Jun 1 (Representative) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed the officials to sanction pension under Madhu Babu scheme within 15 days to the widows and orphans due to covid 19 casualties.. Mr Patnaik in his direction asked the officials on early identification of widows and orphans due to covid casualties and sanction pension under Madhu babu pension yojana within 15days.
The Chief Minister also directed to disburse three months pension in advance for all social security beneficiaries. While reviewing the covid 19 situation in the state , Mr.Patnaik said there has been a decrease in pressure on ICU and HDU in the covid hospitals in the state and also the pressure on oxygen consumption. He was hopeful that the covid situation in the state will be improved by next week. The state government has already extended the lock down in the entire state from June 1 to June 17 and decided to continue the weekend shutdown across the state to contain the spread of coronavirus. Mr.Patnaik also asked the officials to prepare a report for black fungus, child care during the covid pandemic and the possible third wave of the pandemic.
