India’s COVID vaccine saved lakhs of lives across the world : Mandaviya

Chennai, Dec 26 (Agency) Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has said that India’s COVID vaccine has saved lakhs of lives across the world. Speaking after inaugurating CDSCO Bhawan, the new building housing the South Zone office of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation in Chennai city through video conferencing from New Delhi, he said India’s corona vaccine has saved lakhs of lives in the world.

Mandaviya said CDSCO plays a vital role in bringing quality, safe and efficacious healthcare products to the people of the country by regulating the manufacture, import and distribution of Drugs, Medical devices and Cosmetics. CDSCO had played a vital role in regulating the approval of the India’s corona vaccine which has saved lakhs of lives in the country and in the world. “Not only in India, we have saved lakhs of people by providing our corona vaccine to foreign countries also”, he added. He said best treatment could be provided to the people only if quality medicines are made available at the right time, according to a CDSCO release today.
