Pune, Dec 1 (FN Agency) Education System Should Focus More on Preparing the Mind, said Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji at the Valedictory Ceremony of the MITWPU 27th Saint Shree Dnyaneshwara and Saint Shree Tukaram Endowment Lecture Series here on Wednesday “Today’s Education System Should Concentrate on Preparing the Mind of the student instead of only Focusing on the Brain. Due to focus only on Brain, the mind has become weak. The Gurukul system, which focused on human values is way better than today’s education system which is not equipped to face various internal crisis”, said Padma Shri Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji – Peethadhishwar of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi, Kundaim, Ponda – Goa at the Valedictory Ceremony of the 27th Saint Shree Dnyaneshwara and Saint Shree Tukaram Endowment Lecture Series organized by World Peace Center and MIT World Peace University of MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, Pune at MIT WPU Kothrud Campus, Pune. .

The Endowment Lecture Series is an annual feature which is a part of the UNESCO Chair Programme for Human Rights, Democracy, Peace & Tolerance. Along with H. H. Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji, Dr. Indrajeet Bhalerao – Eminent Poet, Writer and Motivational Speaker, Shri. Bhuwan Chandra Uniyal – Former Dharmadhikari, Shri Badrinath Dham, Rahul V. Karad – Executive President, MIT World Peace University, Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President, MIT ADT University and Prof. Dr. R. M. Chitnis – Vice Chancellor, MIT WPU were the eminent personalities present at the Valedictory Ceremony of the Endowment Series. Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, President, MITWPU presided over the function and was honoured with the ‘Rashtriya Swatantrasenani Rukmininath Sanman’ by the Rukmininath Nyas Sanstha of Barshi.

Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji further said, “The foundation of human life should start with spiritual knowledge and end by being immersed in devotion. The middle stage of life should be inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.” Dr. Indrajeet Bhalerao added, “The teachings of Saints of Maharashtra is not reflected much in Higher Education today. In earlier times, the work of public education was done only by literature written by the saints. Many singers have gotten famous by singing the verses written by saints, then why are the original writers of these verses being forgotten?” Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad said, “This Endowment Lecture Series, has not only aimed at discussions, but has seen many lectures being delivered by heart, which has helped us enrich ourselves. Love and dedication is the true essence of life and to experience them in life, one needs to embrace spirituality.” Bhuwan Chandra Uniyal, Rahul V. Karad and Dr. Mangesh Karad also expressed their thoughts.
