Kolkata, Sep 26 (Representative) SVF proudly launched the football anthem of the era ‘Juddhang Dehi’, at a star-studded event, in the presence of ensemble cast and the stalwarts of popular football clubs of Bengal – Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting. ‘Golondaaj’, is a historic fiction film showcasing the journey of Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, known as the ‘Father of Indian Football’, the first Indian to ever play football and thereby, introducing it as a mainstream sport in the country. Helmed to be one of the biggest projects of 2021, SVF’s upcoming magnum opus is all set to hit theatres on 10th October 2021 This song ‘Juddhang Dehi’ is one of the most important songs of the movie, which showcases the training of the then Bengali Football Players as they boost up for the challenge against the Britishers.
It beautifully shows the unique and ancient ways of athletic workout with some other eye-catching glimpses or shots from the movie. The notable and powerful lyrics by Srijato and the strong voices of Nirmalya Roy and Sovan Ganguly, when blended, perfectly creates the required impact of the song. The powerful ensemble cast of Golondaaj comprising of Dev, Ishaa Saha, John Bhattacharya and others along with Director Dhrubo Banerjee were present at the “Juddhang Dehi” song launch event, who not only extensively shared their experience about making the song but also many interesting trivia from the film.
