Kolhapur, Jan 21 (Agency) The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday arrested two contract basis peon of Mahavitran company for accepting bribe of Rs 500 for forwarding a pension proposal to head office for approval. Arrested persons identified as Chandrakant alias Balu Satyapal Mandhrekar(36) and Sunil Yashwant Hajare(30), both resident in Kagal tehsil of this district and working in Mahavitran’s main office in Tarabai park area of the city. In a release, complainant had given his father’s pension proposal for forwarding to upper office of Mahavitran for approval and after sending the proposal, both the accused demanded Rs 500 for it. The complainant Informed this to ACB officials here who laid a trap at Mahavitran’s office in Tarabai park area this afternoon and arrested both peons while accepting the money.
