Police seize expired haldiram food products worth Rs 1.5 lakh ; One held

Hyderabad, Apr 5 (Agency) The city police have arrested a person and seized expired haldiram food products worth Rs 1.5 lakh from his possession. Police also seized Yellow & Black Colour used Camel Stamp Pads, 3 Rubber stamps which includes – Batch No.: Manufacturing & expiring dates (the stamp impressions affixed before us), two Rubber Stamp of Jai Sri Ram Agencies, Plastic Ink Bottle black colour “Permanent marker ink” and two bottles of MAXI clean thinner from him.

On credible information, Langer House Police conducted raid on a godown “Jai Sri Ram agencies” situated at Bapu nagar in Langer House and apprehended Komati Laxmi Narayana (40) on Sunday, when he was erasing the actual expired dates and printing fresh dates with an intention to supply the same to the customers and shopkeepers thereby endangering the health of general public, a police release here said on Monday.

The seized Haldiram sweets were Soan Papdi (500 grams) 7 Cottons (each one containing 36 Boxes), Soan Papdi (250 grams)-8 cottons(each cotton containing 72 boxes), Badam Halwa (200 grams)-2 Cotton (containing 60 Boxes), Orange Sonatreate (250 grams)-1 cotton (containing 55 Boxes), Lachha Paratha (500 grams)- 15 Pieces, Strawberry Squash- 8 bottles (750 ml), Kesar Badam-7 bottles (750 ml), Shahi Thandai – 10 bottles (750ml), Khus Sharbat–10 bottles (750ml), Lachi -3 bottles (750 ml), Bhujia Sev – (1) 200 Grams – 07 Packets and one goods carrier auto which was used by the accused for transporting the products, the release added.
