NIA raids in MP; 2 held

Bhopal/Raisen, Aug 1 (Bureau) A National Investigation Agency team from Delhi took at least two persons into custody on Sunday – on the charge of alleged involvement in terrorism and other anti-India activities – during searches in the Madhya Pradesh capital and at Silwani town in adjoining Raisen district, sources said. A dwelling within a densely-populated locality here was raided besides another abode in Silwani.

State police also participated in the action. There is no official word yet regarding seizures. Senior officers are understandably tightlipped over the matter. The accused were being questioned at the time of filing of this report. Similar raids were executed in Gujarat, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.
