Kolhapur, Feb 21 (Agency) Gadhinglaj town police booked total 20 persons including Gadhinglaj Muncipal Council (GMC) president Prof Swati Kori her deputy Mahesh Kori and six GMC members, were booked for illigally took out a ‘Shivjayanti’ procession in the town even district collector announced restriction for unlawful assembly and for violating the pandemic related restrictions with gathering in large number on the occassion of Shiv Jayanti celebrated on Friday.
According to Gadhinglaj police, district collector Daulat Desai had prohibited for unlawful assembly and restricted for take out processions of Shiv Jayanti on the backdrop of possibility of corona epidemic but on Shiv Jayanti day, GMC president Ms Kori and her deputy , took out a procession in the town, in which ‘Chitrarath’ on life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of different schools, along with more than 70 tractor-trolly participated.
