Haryana police seizes 32.5 kg chura post, two held

Chandigarh, Jun 2 (Agency) Haryana Police on Wednesday arrested two people on the charges of drug-peddling and seized 32.5 kg ‘chura post’ from them in Sirsa district. Stating this here on Wednesday, a spokesperson from Haryana Police said a team of Crime Investigation Agency while conducting checking near Musahibwala area in the district signalled a truck coming from Punjab side to stop for checking.

When searched, 18 kg 500 gram of chura post was recovered from the accused driver identified as Satbir, a resident of Preet Nagar, Sirsa. In the second incident, a police team during patrolling and checking near Burj Karamgarh area had signalled a truck to stop for checking. The search of the cabin of the vehicle led to seizure of 14 kg of chura post. The arrested accused has been identified as Devender Pal alias Sonu, a resident of Sirsa. Cases under the provisions of the NDPS Act were registered against them.
