Mysuru, Jan 18 (Agency) Police have arrested four smugglers who stole sandalwood from the RBI note print government limited compound. Stolen sandalwood worth Rs 35 lakhs was also seized, police said. On Monday, on a complaint from the RBI security staff, police arrested two persons identified as Raghu and Devaraj. The duo was selling stolen sandalwood blocks to smugglers Maqbool Sharief and Syed Ghouse Moinuddin when they were nabbed. All the four were arrested. Moinuddin was a habitual offender and was jailed for 84 days in Madikeri in 2019. Metagalli police have registered a case and are investigating.
