South Korean delegation explores investment opportunities in Sikkim

Gangtok, Apr 18 (FN Agency) South Korean delegation consisting of 6 members called on Chief Minister PS Tamang and Minister for Commerce & Industries Bedu Singh Panth. They also met Chief Secretary SC Gupta. Representative of KORA an International Company, based in Seoul, also part of the Korean delegation, highlighted that they were here looking for investment opportunities, manpower availability subsidies available, power supply and local conditions.

The delegation, also suggested cultural exchange programme for studies, teaching and employment for Youth from Sikkim to Korea and from there to Sikkim. The Chief Minister assured facilitating Investment friendly policies and support.Minister Bedu Singh Panth and different officers representing State projected ,automation in organic agriculture, higher education, improving road network, food processing, Information Technology and tourism as the main sectors with opportunity for Investment. It was just the beginning from both the sides.The South Korean delegation presented N-91 Korean Masks and Thermal scanners for distribution to public.
