New Delhi, Nov 25 (Bureau) Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has called for making the world safe for women on the occasion of International Women’s Violence Protest Day. In a message issued here on Wednesday, Mr Naidu said on this occasion everyone should take an oath of protection for women. Referring to the Sanskrit phrase, he said, “Yatra narayastu pujyante, ramante tatra deityah”. Stating that the need of the hour was to end gender discrimination and empower women, he said violence against women during the pandemic is a stigma for civilised society. On the occasion, he urged that all should pledge to honour the freedom and talent of women in society, family and the field.
