Education should be qualitative so that the youth become cultured: Minister

Nurpur, Mar 9 (FN Agency) Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar, on Tuesday emphasized on providing quality education as well as culture-based education to the youth of the state. He stated this today in his address at the annual prize distribution function of Government Arya College, Nurpur and emphasized the importance of quality education in making the youth cultured. He said that education is not just academic knowledge, it plays an important role in personal and social development of an individual. He said that the Sanskar, values ??and ethics are the basic components of education. Prof. Chandra Kumar inspired the children to participate enthusiastically in studies as well as in other cultural and sports activities. He said that parents and teachers play an important role in the all-round development of children. They always move ahead in life remembering the paths and teachings told by their teachers to them. He called upon the students to set goals and move forward and work hard in this era of competition. Prof. Chandra Kumar said that the infrastructure in educational institutions is being strengthened in the state. A new building of Nurpur College is being constructed with Rs 20.34 crore.

He said that some work of the building has been completed and the matter will be taken up with the Chief Minister to provide adequate funds to complete the remaining work so that its work can be completed within the stipulated time. He said that during the tenure of the Congress governments in the state, emphasis has always been laid on strengthening the education sector. Congress opened colleges in every assembly constituency so that the youth of the village, especially the daughters, could get higher education closer to home. He said that more and more employment-oriented courses should be started in educational institutions so that more and more employment opportunities are created. The Agriculture Minister said that it is an irony that the Central University Himachal Pradesh has not yet been constructed at Dharamshala. There should be no politics on such educational institutions, rather they should be prepared and dedicated to the common people within a stipulated time period. He said that the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government is working very well and effectively in the state.
