We constructed houses for poor: Yogi

Lucknow, Jan 21 (FN Agency) Referring to the development and public welfare works done in the last five years in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said during previous governments the CMs constructed their own houses, but in the Bharatiya Janata Party regime houses were constructed for the poor. Launching the virtual election campaign at the BJP state headquarters on Friday, Yogi said, “In previous governments the CMs constructed their own houses, but in our government we gave houses to each and every poor. Five years back we resolved to achieve the target of Antyoday (upliftment of the last person of the society). We have fulfilled all the promises our party made in the last elections.”

He said his government along with the cultural nationalism has established an environment of safety and security in the state. “The rioters, who used to incite riots in the state earlier, their pictures are pasted at the crossings in the state and even the losses caused by the rioters have been realised from them,” Yogi said. Referring to the achievements of his government, he said free gas connections were provided to 1.56 crore families in the last five years. We provided free treatment facility upto Rs 5 lakh to 9 crore people through Ayushman Bharat scheme during this period. Besides, government jobs were given to five lakh youths. Yogi said, “The BJP government has done what it said. Be it the grand and divine Kumbh or the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and rejuvenation of Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex, we did what we said. There was no riot in the state, everyone was given an environment of security.”
