Voters can use KYC App to know about LS candidates

Thiruvananthapuram / New Delhi, April 9 (Bureau) Voters can use the KYC (Know Your Candidate) App to learn more about the candidates competing in the Lok Sabha election, Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul said on Tuesday. The KYC App is designed with the goals of ensuring transparency in the Lok Sabha elections and helping voters make informed decisions about the individuals who are aspiring to be their representatives, he said. The App allows voters to access information about all the candidates in their constituency, including their criminal background, the nature of the alleged crimes, and the current status of the cases.

Voters can also download the affidavits submitted by the candidates along with their nomination papers. The App is available on both Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. After installing the app and selecting the Lok Sabha elections, users can enter their constituency to view information about all the candidates there. Users can also search for candidates by name. This will enable voters to understand more about their candidate.
