Kolkata, May 2 (Agency) All India Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee, also the chief minister, on Monday thanked the people of West Bengal for their massive support in electing the TMC government for the third time in a row on this day in 2021. The TMC retained power with landslide victory winning 213 seats in the 294-member West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The BJP got 77 seats and CPI-M led Left Front and Congress drew a blank. “I am ever grateful to our Ma-Mati-Manus for having shown to the high and mighty, last year on this day, the indomitable courage of Bengal,” Banerjee posted on her twitter account. ” Our people showed to the world that there is no bigger power. Our commitment to true nation building should continue, for there are many more battles to be fought together and won together,” the founder chairperson of the TMC said.
“I dedicate this day to Ma-Mati-Manush and urge that this day be henceforth called Ma-Mati-Manush Divas. Jai Hind, Jai Bangla,” Banerjee concluded. ” Second May 2021 will always have our heart,” said AITC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee. ” Thanking every single person across Bengal on this day for placing their faith in the MaaMatiManush government for the third time,” said Abhishek Banerjee. ” We promise to keep serving you in the best possible way at all times,” he added while celebrating the day.
