KCR absence at Telangana Guv’s ‘At Home’ event a violation of protocol : BJP

Hyderabad, Aug 16 (Agency) BJP Telangana Unit Chief Spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao on Tuesday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao not attending the ‘At Home’ event hosted by Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on the occasion of 75th Independence day on Monday evening is an insult to the national celebrations in the state. In a statement here, Sagar said it is quite indignant of KCR to have not kept the commitment of participating in the Governor’s ‘ At Home’ event on August 15 evening.

All the Cabinet ministers, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MPs, MLAs and MLCs also stayed away from the event. In a media statement, the senior BJP leader said that Chief Minister’s uninformed and callous absence is a big violation of protocol in the National celebration of 75th Anniversary of India’s independence. He said it is unbecoming of KCR to politicize even National events, and lower the dignity of constitutional office of the State Governor. BJP strongly condemns the low level politics of the Chief Minister in degrading the spirit of Indian constitution and democracy, Rao added.
