New Delhi, Nov 19 (Agency) The Congress on Saturday released a list of 40 star campaigners for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat. According to the list issued by the party for the second phase of Assembly polls, it includes name of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, his predecessor Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi and party’s General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. It also includes the name of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot , his Chhattisgarh counterpart Bhupesh Baghel.
Among others includes name of Digvijaya Singh, Kamal Nath, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Sachin Pilot, Shaktisinh Gohil, Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani. The first phase elections in Gujarat will take place in 89 Assembly constituencies on December 1 and in the second phase in 93 seats on December 5. The counting of votes will be held on December 8.
