Mumbai, Oct 22 (Agency) The Modi government at the centre is making a big noise about giving the appointment letters for 75,000 seats to the candidates. But the examinations for many of these posts were held two and a half years ago and appointments were kept pending, says Atul Londhe, Chief Spokesperson of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. He said that the BJP and Narendra Modi have been reminded of the youth and are organising the Rojgar Mela only because there are elections scheduled in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Speaking in this regard, Londhe said that no one can beat the BJP, Narendra Modi and Devendra Fadnavis in organizing mega events.
It has been a year and a half since the examinations of various boards including Staff Selection, Railway Recruitment Board, were held but the results of the examinations conducted by various examination boards were stopped so that the Prime Minister could convert them into a Diwali event. Elections have been announced in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat elections are also around the corner. Keeping these election in mind, the BJP has started issuing appointment letters. 22 crore youths have registered for jobs and employment on the Shram portal out of which only 7 lakhs have got jobs. According to CMIE, 45 crore people have given up hope regarding job prospects. While 25 lakh posts of central government employees are vacant. Considering the available jobs, the number of job seekers and the high unemployment rate, 75,000 jobs is just a drop in the ocean. In Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis also announced mega recruitment on 72,000 posts when he was the Chief Minister but in reality he could not give jobs to even 72 people, he added.
