BJP takes out silent march to remember partition horrors

New Delhi, August 14 (Agency) BJP leaders took out a silent march on Sunday at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to mark the second ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’. The march was led by BJP president JP Nadda and several senior ministers including Piyush Goyal, Anurag Thakur and Delhi BJP president Aadesh Gupta among other leaders.

On August 14, 2021 Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the August 14 will be remembered annually as ‘Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas’ or Partition Horrors Remembrance Day to remind the nation of the sufferings and sacrifices of Indians during the partition in 1947.
