BJP MLA Padalkar poisonous pest in Maha politics: NCP

Pune, Jun 7 (FN Agency) The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Monday launched a scathing attack on BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar, describing him as “a poisonous pest in Maharashtra politics”. NCP Spokesperson Pradeep Deshmukh, speaking to reporters here, said, “BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar is stooping to a low level by frequently targeting NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, which will not be tolerated now.” He further said that this person (Padalkar) was trying to figure out how to say the most vulgar things and how to break the previous record by speaking more dirty next time.
The so-called MLAs of BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were constantly trying to figure out how to insult the NCP leaders without fighting over any political or social issues, the NCP leader noted. “By making such statements, they are showing the worthiness of BJP and themselves,” he said and warned Padalkar to not make such statements against the party leaders, else they will respond to the same in kind.

While criticising Pawar in Nashik over the onion issue, Padalkar had reportedly said, “Farmers were shot while protesting on onion issue in Nashik district. At that time, he had quoted (Shiv Sena founder) Bal Thackeray as saying that ‘farmers should come here without shedding their blood and kick Sharad Pawar. After getting kicks, he will fall unconscious. Then, smell him the onion. After he comes to senses, the price of onion will increase’. Now, will Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray follow the statement of Bal Thackeray?”
