AAP will contest all 40 assembly seats in Goa: Manish Sisodia

Panaji, Apr 12 (Agency) Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest the next assembly elections from all the 40 constituencies in Goa and expressed confidence that the party will form next government in the state. Addressing a press conference at party office in the city, he said,’AAP will contest all the 40 constituencies in Goa and as far as I can see, the next government in the state would be of AAP.’

Mr Sisodia said the party would carry forward legacy and development work done by former Chief Ministers Dayanand Bandodkar and Manohar Parrikar. He said those who were feeling suffocated in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress were welcome to join AAP. ‘There are many people who feel that vision of Manohar Parrikar is not being fulfilled and his vision has been buried by the BJP. I do not want them to feel suffocated. If they are thinking of Goa, they should join AAP,’ he said.

Mr Sisodia said Arvind Kejriwal model of governance was being discussed because it was result of politics of honesty. ‘If there is honest politics, then per capita income can be increased and funds can be generated without increasing taxes. Budget of Delhi has doubled during the last five years without increasing the tax rates. That was possible because of honest politics. If there is honest politics, then taxes collection also increases. There is no shortage of money with the government. There is shortage of honesty in leadership,’ the AAP leader said.
