Union Min Raosaheb Patil to flag off inaugural special train from Jalna to Tirupati tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 29 (Representative) Union Minister of state for Railways Raosaheb Patil Danve will flag off the inaugural special train from Jalna to Tirupati at a function to be held at Jalna Railway station on Sunday. The Minister will flag off the special train at 1515 hours tomorrow in the presence of public representatives and Senior Railway Officials. South Central Railway (SCR) in a release here on Saturday said the inaugural service from Jalna to Tirupati will start at 1600 hours. It said to provide additional travelling facility to the people travelling from the Marathwada region to the temple town Tirupati, Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce one weekly special train from Jalna to Tirupati and back. The special train runs via Humnabad, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Raichur, Guntakal stations which provide additional train facility to the rail passengers who wish to travel to pilgrim town Tirupati. Till now, there are weekly special trains that were being operated on four different days from Marathwada region to the temple town of Tirupati. However, with the growing number of pilgrim passengers, there has been a demand for introducing additional train service from the region. This train Connects the new destinations in Karnataka viz., Humnabad, Kalaburagi and Wadi with Marathwada region for the first time through direct train facility.

There will also be ample time for the passengers to visit Lord Balaji Temple and return back by the same train. This is because the train reaches early hours of Monday at Tirupati and in return journey starts in the Tuesday evening again from Tirupati. The train consists of both AC and Non AC classes, suitable to all segments of the people. This weekly special train serves the needs of the public travelling on pilgrim, business and vacation purposes besides the people travelling to their home towns, the release said. To enhance the comfort and provide modern amenities, the train has been inducted with new state-of-the-art LHB coaches, which will offer a new riding experience to the passengers. It provides safe, convenient and cost effective travel option to the people of this region. Initially, 6 services of the special train i.e., 12 services in both directions have been announced which will be operated during the months of October, November and December. Accordingly, the regular timings of Train No. 07414 Jalna – Tirupati special train will start from Jalna on every Sunday at 11.50 hrs and reach Tirupati at 09.05 hrs on Monday. In the return direction, Train no. 07413 Tirupati – Jalna special will start from Tirupati on every Tuesday at 18.30 hrs and reach Jalna at 18.00 hrs on Wednesday, the release added.
