Daltonganj, Jul 20 (Representative) A team of the Anti Corruption Bureau arrested the Rojgar Sevak of Rewaratu panchayat while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 near a temple in Satbarwa of the Palamu district. The arrested has been identified as Jagdeep Kujur. The culprit had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a beneficiary of irrigation well construction project.
A complaint against the Rojgar Sevak was registered by Ajmer Aalam who was beneficiary of the work. In his complaint before the ACB the man had alleged that the Rojgar Sevak was demanding the bribe to get the remaining payment released. Post the verification of the complaint the ACB laid a trap and caught the man red handed as soon as money exchanged hands. Later he was taken away to Medninagar and presented before a special court which sent him to judicial custody.
