Hyderabad, Jul 13 (Representative) Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught red-handed Mandal Agriculture Officer when he was accepting a bribe amount of Rs 10,000. Adidala Sampath Reddy, Mandal Agriculture Officer, Nekkonda of Warangal Rural District was caught red-handed in his office chambers at 1325 hours today when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant Vadde Ekambaram of Appalaraopeta, Nekkonda mandal “not to inspect the complainant’s Fertilizers & Pesticides shop and not to trouble him in running his business,” an ACB release here said.
The bribe amount was recovered from his possession at his instance. The Mandal Agriculture Officer, thereby, performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly. The Mandal Agriculture Officer was being arrested and produced before the Spl Judge for SPE and ACB cases, here.
