Man arrested by Sahebganj RPF along with silver and Rs 14.50 in cash from train

Sahebganj, Jul 4 (Agency) A team of the RPF arrested a person who was travelling in the AC compartment of the Jamalpur-Howrah Express alongwith Rs 14.50 lakh in cash and nearly three kilograms of silver. RPF Inspector Narendra Singh on Saturday said that a tip off had been received regarding a man travelling in the train from Bhagalpur along with huge quantity of silver and cash.

As soon as the train arrived on the station the RPF personnel conducted a search in the B1 compartment and caught the man Jitendra Sao from whom the cash and silver was recovered. Though the man claimed that he was going to deliver the money and silver to his brother in-law who runs an ornament shop in Bada Bazaar of Kolkata but he could not produce any documents in proof after which he was arrested by the RPF. The man hails from Tikiapara of Howrah.
