Chandigarh, Jan 28 (Agency) Taking action against the erring builders, Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Gurugram has imposed a penalty of Rs 2.25 crore on M/s SPS Homes Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd, M/s Vistaar Group Pvt Ltd and M/s Royal Infra Buildtech Pvt Ltd for violation of Section 3 (1) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 and has directed demolition of unauthorized construction by Municipal Corporation, Gurugram (MCG). The bench presided over by HARERA (Gurugram) Chairman Dr K K Khandelwal took a stern view that penalty needs to be imposed on the builders and decided to impose a penalty of Rs 1 crore, Rs 75 lakh and Rs 50 lakh respectively on the errant builders.
Further, an intimation has been sent to the Commissioner of MCG for demolishing the unauthorized construction in the projects. Sharing details in this regard, an official spokesperson said no promoter will advertise, market, book, sell or offer for sale, or invite persons to purchase in any manner any plot, apartment or building, as the case may be, in any real estate project or part of it, in any planning area, without registering the real estate project with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority established under this Act. The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 came into force on May 1, 2017 in its entirety and the promoters were required to register the project before advertisement/marketing/selling of any plot, apartment or building, as the case may be, in any real estate project.
