Bhubaneswar, Jul 17 (Representative) Police on Saturday arrested four persons, including a woman, and seized 1090 grams of brown sugar worth over Rs 1 crore from their possession Bhadrak SP Charan Singh Meena said the brown sugar was seized from an auto rickshaw near Dhamara Rail over bridge under Charampa Police station of Bhadrak district. The SP said while two accused are from Bhadrak the other two are from Balasore district.The Police also seized Rs one lakh in cash and three mobile phones from their possession.
The SP said acting on a tip off, a police team intercepted the auto on NH 16near Dhamra Rail over bridge and seized the contraband goods. Police identified the accused as Shaik Abdul Hamid (45), and Manoj Das of Balasore district and Kunilata Sharangi (30) and Ajay Kumar Sharangi (32) of Bhadrak district.
