Chennai to host “India Manufacturers and SME Summit” on Feb 17

Chennai, Feb 7 (FN Agency) The SME Chamber of India and the Federation of Indian SME Associations will be jointly organising a National level Conference on “India Manufacturers and SME Summit” in Chennai on February 17. The theme of the Summit is “Exploring emerging business, exports and investment opportunities”. The event was being organised with the support of Packaging Industry Association of India, SME Industrial Parks of India, SME Export Promotion Council, SME Investment Promotion Council and Tamil Nadu Business Forum, a pre-event release from SME Chamber said today. Chamber Founder and President Chandrakant Salunkhe said the Conference will be providing a platform to the manufacturing industries, SMEs, exporters, investors, importers, start-ups, institutions, agencies and allied business and industrial sectors to explore the emerging business opportunities, exports and investment opportunities, supply and procurement, joint ventures, technology transfers, contract manufacturing, advanced technologies, collaborations, distributorship, franchise, banking finance, private equity, venture capital, external commercial borrowings and entering into capital markets.

It will also focus on the excellence in manufacturing sector, smart manufacturing eco-system and industrial automation – advantages & benefits for SMEs, Industry 4.0 – challenges, opportunities and trends, affordable insurance products and services – advantages and benefits for SMEs, unique strategies for transforming SMEs into emerging enterprises and support and strategies for revival of sick manufacturing and SME units. Union Minister of Commerce Industries Piyush Goyal, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister Thangam Thennarasu, Finance Minister Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister of Rural Industries Small Industries T.M. Anbarasan, Union MSME Secretary B. B. Swain and other officials will take part in the summit. Eminent speakers from special economic zones, Industrial parks, logistics, banking, technology, digital and international trade will be addressing this conference. SME Chamber of India will prepare a group of manufacturing industries and SME sector to provide business leads, business inquiries, channelise finance for business growth, expansion and diversification, export business, contract manufacturing, joint ventures, distribution as well as identify ready-made industrial premises or industrial land for setting up new industries, the release said.
