New Delhi, Feb 15 (Agency) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday came out in support of climate activist Disha Ravi who was arrested in the ‘toolkit’ document case and said supporting farmers is not a crime and termed her arrest an ‘unprecedented attack’ on Democracy. ‘Arrest of 21 yr old Disha Ravi is an unprecedented attack on Democracy. Supporting our farmers is not a crime,’ Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.
The cyber cell team of Delhi Police had arrested Ravi from Bengaluru on Saturday for for her alleged involvement in creating the ‘toolkit’ related to farmers’ protests against three agricultural laws. ‘She is one of the editors of the ‘toolkit’ and the key conspirator in the matter of formulation and dissemination of the document,’ a police official said.
