Bhubaneswar, Dec 5 (Representative) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set a fresh record in single day Hot Metal Production. The three Blast Furnaces (BF) of the plant namely BF-1, BF-4 and BF-5 produced 14060 tonnes of hot metal on December, 4, 2020 to achieve the feat.
Notably, the previous best single day hot production of 14014 tonnes was achieved on October, 31,2020. It is worth mentioning here that the 3 Blast Furnaces together had registered four back to back records in single-day hot metal production in the month of October. The Blast Furnace-5 has also registered its best ever monthly performance in November 2020. RSP CEO Dipak Chattaraj while congratulating the collective on the success has urged them to make excellence a habit. The Blast Furnace Collective and all the associated departments have been the drivers in scripting the chain of successes in recent times. Buoyed by the recent all-round brilliant performance of different units, team RSP is all set to steer the plant to new horizons of success.
