New Delhi, Nov 22 (Agency) National capital’s air quality continued to reel under the ‘poor’ category on Sunday with an average Air Quality Index measuring 263 at 1000 hours on Sunday morning. Similarly, the air quality of the adjoining cities to the national capital such as Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida also ferried under poor category with the average AQI above 231, as per the CPCB. The minimum temperature on Sunday morning in the capital was recorded at 6.4 degrees C , four points below season’s average here.
Low temperature, relative humidity on the higher side and haze in the morning prevented dispersion of particulate matter, making the air dense. The weatherman has forecast fog on Monday morning, while minimum temperature is likely to hover around 8 degrees C.
