99.37 pc students clear CBSE 12th exams

New Delhi, Jul 30 (Bureau) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday declared the Class XII results in which 99.37 per cent students passed. Overall pass percentage of girls is 99.67 per cent against 99.13 per cent of boys. While 100 per cent students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Central Tibetan School Administration (CTSA) have passed, 99.94 per cent students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya cleared the exams. The pass percentage of government schools was 99.72.

This year, more than 70,000 students have scored marks above 95 per cent while more than 1.5 lakh students have scored marks above 90 per cent. The results of over 65,000 class 12th students will be declared by August 5. The Class XII results were announced by the CBSE this afternoon at 1400 hrs. The CBSE Class 12th board exams for the year 2021 were cancelled over the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country and keeping the safety of students in mind. The CBSE has prepared the results on the basis of its alternative assessment policy.
