Kochi, Nov 25 (Representative)- Police seized 105 kg of ganja from Angamaly and 35 kg of ganja from a rented house in Avoli at Aluva here and took three persons into custody on Wednesday. The seizure was led by two teams of police officers under Ernakulam Rural Superintendent of Police K Karthik. The persons were transporting ganja in 50 large packets inside two cars. Police chased them down. The trio were wholesale dealers of the contraband and have smuggled ganja before. Based on information from the trio, police seized ganja from a rented house at Avoli. The contraband was stored in 17 large packets inside the house. The persons were identified as Thodupuzha native Ansal (34), Perubadachira native Nizar (37) and Vellathooval native Chanthu (22).
