Kolhapur, Feb 11 (Agency) Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday arrested a police sub-inspector, attached to Vadgaon police station of this district, for accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant for to give assist in criminal case booked against his (complainant’s) cliant. Arrested person identified as Chandrakant Shripati Bhosale (Class-3), a police sub-inspector, attached to Vadgaon police station, who resident at Bhosalewadi of the city.
In a press release, a criminal case had booked in Vadgaon police station, against a cliant of the complainant under IPC section 306, 498(A),504,506. Complainant met Mr Bhosale and requested him to assist in criminal case against his cliant. Mr Bhosale demanded Rs 5,000 for it. Complainant informed this to ACB officials here, who laid a trap near Vadgaon police station and nabbed Mr Bhosale red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs Five thousand from the complainant.
