Daltonganj, Aug 3 (Representative) Police on Tuesday arrested two smugglers from Nawajaipur Police Station area of the Palamu district alongwith one kilogram of opium. The arrested have been identified as Dipak Kumar alias Bijli Kumar and Sakendra Kumar alias Guddu.
Medninagar SDPO K Vijayshankar said a tip off had been received that contraband substances were being smuggled on a bike after which a vehicle checking drive was launched at several spots in Nawajaipur. During the vehicle checking drive a bike without number plates was apprehended and upon searching it emerged that in a bag the two men were carrying one kilograms of opium.
