Imphal,May 4 (Agency) Manipur Police in three separate incidents seized drugs and smuggled goods. Bishnupur police today nabbed a man and recovered 653 gram of Heroin no. 4 and 2.425 kgs of WY tables from a man at Nambol Phoijing, Bishnupur district. Police said while conducting checking on one Royal Tours passenger bus bearing regd. no. MN 01 AA 0484 at Nambol Phoijing crossing along Tiddim road, the banned items were seized from one Md. Abdul Lakip (20) of Kwakta Sevla, ward No. 2. The arrested person along with the seized items were handed over to Nambol-PS.
In this regard a case has been registered at Nambol-PS for investigation. Police said in another incident on May3 , a team of Lilong PS including women police personnel with members of ANJUMAN Lilong arrested one drug seller namely Phundreimayum Yasmin (28) of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi near Kaleikhong bridge from her residence and seized 262.8 grams of suspected Brown sugar including weight of the container, 579 numbers of SP capsules and 67 numbers of ANREX-CP Cough Syrup bottles from her possession. In this regard a case has been registered at Lilong PS. In yet another incident on May 3 a team of Thoubal Police arrested one person namely Shamulailatpam Rishikumar Sharma (28) of Old Checkon from Somrei along Yairipok Kasom road and seized one white colour Bolero jeep without registration No. and 58(fifty-eight) nos. of carton boxes of GODZILLA, anti mosquito coils from his possession. The arrested person along with the seized items were handed over to Nongpok-Sekmai Police Station for further necessary action.
