FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 trophy reached Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Dec 25 (FN Representative) The FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Trophy reached Bhubaneswar on Sunday after 21 days of travelling across 13 states and one Union Territory. Hockey India President Dillip Tirkey, Odisha Minister of Sports and Youth Services Tusharkanti Behera received the trophy at the Biju Patnaik International Airport. Later it was handed over to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.

From the Airport the Trophy was taken in a bike rally to the Lingaraj temple and then it would be taken to Esplanade Mall, SOA university campus and KIIT university grounds. Later, the trophy will be taken to 17 blocks of sundergarha district and Rourkela before returning to the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar where the finals will be played on January 29, 2023. The matches of the Men’s World Cup hockey will be played at Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar and Birsamunda stadium Rourkela from January 13 to 29 next.
