Ahmedabad, Mar 18 (Agency) India beat England by eight runs in the fourth T20I to level the five-match series 2-2, here on Thursday. Sent out to bat, India posted a challenging total of 185/8 in stipulated 20 overs with the help of Suryakumar Yadav’s maiden T20I fifty (57 off 31). Rishabh Pant (30) and Shreyas Iyer (37) also made valuable contributions with the bat.
On the other hand, Jofra Archer registered figures of 4/33 for England. After putting 185 for 8 on the board, India restricted England to 177 for 8 in 20 overs in a close contest on Thursday. Jason Roy (40) and Ben Stokes (46) were the top-scorers for England while Shardul Thakur (3/42 ) was the most successful bowler for India.
