Telangana: BJP demands suspension of TNGO association leaders for violation of TSCS rules in Munugode byelection
Hyderabad, Nov 9 (FN Agency): Few days after winning of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party candidate K.Prabhakar Reddy against its candidate Komatireddy raja Gopal Reddy in Munugode byelection, the state BJP on Tuesday demanded the state government to immediate suspension of two TNGO ( Telangana Non-gazetted Officers’ Association) leaders for violation of TSCS (Conduct) rules. In his separate letters addressed to the Chief Secretary,Principal Secretary ( Medical health) , Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration and Urban Development Dept.) and the commission (Medical Health Dept.), state General Secretary G.Premender Reddy said that the recently Munugode Assembly byelection witnessed a close contest between the ruling TRS and the BJP From the BJP, we have been alleging the misuse of government machinery, he said that the ruling party made overt and covert attempts to influence which resulted in the transfer of the incumbent Returning Officer (RO).
However, the ruling party did not refrain from its polemics and What is baffling is the participation of TNGO associations in the election campaign, he pointed out in the letter. TNGO President Rajender issued a press statement in support of Telangana on October 28 which was published in all newspapers next day, he said that a video wherein the members of the association reiterate the support and state that they have ‘umbilical bond’ with the CM. It is evident from the both statement and the video that TNGO President explicitly and unequivocally campaigned for the ruling TRS, he said and demanded initiation action against Mamilla Rajender and Ms Mamata for the violation of TSCS (Conduct) rules. The act of Association leaders is clearly in violation of Rule 16(1) and Rule 19 (1) of TSCS (Conduct) rules, the BJP leader said and also demanded immediate suspension of the both and initiate disciplinary proceedings against them for their habitual interference into political process and their repeated attempts to influence employees to vote for the ruling party The BJP would be compelled to launch a protest if you fail to initiate action on them, he cautioned.
