Congress losing ground, BJP will form government in Himachal: Vipin Parmar

KANGRA, April 12 (Representative) Former Assembly Speaker and BJP in-charge of Kangra Chamba parliamentary constituency Vipin Singh Parmar on Thursday said the Congress party in Himachal Pradesh is losing ground and BJP would form the government in Himachal Pradesh after the June polls. He said just in 15 months after being voted to power Congress has lost the support of nine MLAs including six of its MLAs and hoped that after the June polls, BJP government would sure to be formed in Himachal Pradesh. Addressing an election meeting in Sahoda in favour of the BJP candidate Dr Rajiv Bhardwaj, Parmar said in the Kangra Lok Sabha election, Dr Rajiv Bhardwaj will be elected to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. He said that the party workers of the parliamentary constituency have faith along with passion and are sure to have the victory of BJP at the booth level. He said that Prime Minister Modi has changed the meaning of politics. Now there is only one thing in the country – politics of performance. He asked the workers to take time for BJP and Modi and get involved in the election campaign.BJP candidate Dr Rajiv Bhardwaj said Congress has come to power in Himachal Pradesh by giving false guarantees and deceiving the public.

Bhardwaj said Congress grabbed power in Himachal by giving election promises of giving ₹1500 per month to women, one lakh jobs per year to unemployed youth, and 300 units of free electricity. But after Congress came to power, the system changed and now the facility of 120 units of free electricity given to domestic consumers in the previous BJP rule has been stopped. He alleged that the public is being looted by increasing the rate of electricity by 22 paise per unit. On the issue of the Airport in Kangra, he said that development should be done by respecting public sentiments and no political party has the right to ignore public sentiments. He promised the people of the area that he was with them and after becoming an MP, he will raise the voice of the public at the center for the expansion of the Airport. Local MLA Senior Vice President Pawan Kajal said the people of Kangra assembly constituency are with BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He assured BJP candidate Bhardwaj that he would get a lead of 30 thousand votes in the elections from Kangra Assembly Constituency. Chandra Bhushan Nag, Ramesh, Sat Prakash Soni, Anju Rastogi were also present on this occasion. Bhardwaj held seven public meetings including Sahodha, Purana Kangra, and sought people support for the elections.
