New Delhi, July 13 (Representative) The BJP on Wednesday slammed former vice president Hamid Ansari and the Congress over the claims of a Pakistani journalist that he had visited India five times during UPA tenure and shared sensitive information collected during his visits with Pakistan’s spy agency ISI. Addressing a press conference here at party headquarters, BJP Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that, “People of India are giving you so much respect and you are betraying the country. Isn’t this treason? Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Hamid Ansari should come out and reply to this”. He said on one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is strengthening the integrity of the country, and it is our resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country. But on the other hand the Congress party has been to weaken the country”. He added that the people of India are upset with Congress and asking them that …is that was the policy of the Congress government to end terrorism?”.

He alleged that ” Congress was sharing the most secret things of the country with other countries, which they were using for terrorism. That is why the people of the country are upset today.” In video on social media in which, Pakistani journalist Nusrat Mirza has claimed in an interview that he had visited India several times allegedly on Ansari’s invitation and that the former vice president had shared extremely sensitive and classified information with him which he passed on to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
